Mygf is concerned that she might have Breast cancer. I told heri would try to find out as much as I can for her. What are the signs of breast cancer? How can you. Tell if to have it? And is it genetic?

Answer by J B You can go to WebMd.com and type in breast cancer and read up on this – there is lots of information there in an understandable format. It can run in families. Not all lumps are cancer – they can be cysts or fibrous tissue but a doctor has to make this determination.

I believe that studies of heredity and genetics in Biology is somewhat connected to Breast Cancer symptoms. My friend thinks that its more on the Physiology/Anatomy side? Who is right and why?

Answer by Raymond H. Does it have ANYTHING to do with it? Of course. What doesn’t really have anything to do with another, if you really think about it? Besides, there really isn’t a right or wrong to it. Biology and other fields of science as well as all other subjects are simply general names given for those areas of study. They don’t really mean anything. You just have to learn the subjects, learn about, in this case, breast cancer(and everything else) and experience more and more and you will define it on your own. I am 13 and will be 14 in exactly 20 days. I am above average as far as my chest size. For the past few days, I have been experiencing some very bad pain in one of my breasts. I have talked to my mom about it, but she said it may just be a briuse from working out in P.E. She told me that if the pain persists, she will set up a doctor’s appointment. Niether one of us has open expressed the possibility of it being breast cancer but I have thought about it. Maybe I am just ill informed as to what breast cancer is and I shouldn’t be worrying, please help.

Answer by Lisa Given that your breasts are growing right now, the pain you’re feeling is probably perfectly normal. I’m glad your mom set up an appointment, though. I think it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
The chances of you having breast cancer at your age are very, very, very slim. So slim that, if you were my daughter, I wouldn’t be worried about it one bit.

Is this true?
I’m thinking “no” but I would just like to make sure. (75% seems a little extreme) By the way, There is no history of breast cancer or any type of cancer in my family.

Or is it the same thing because I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and while looking up info I keep seeing inflammatory and I just am wondering if its the same thing or not.

A question asked by secret: plastic was in my soup! how much plastic can i eat before it cause breast cancer.?
i was eating soup from a restaurant and ate some pieces and it was hard didn’t think much of it. then i found a big piece of plastic about a inch wide. its probably really bad because the chemicals from the plastic melted in the soup as well id imagine. i think it is from the packaging when the made it or something feel in it. how much of the plastic chemical do you need to eat before it causes breast cancer? i herd melted plastic causes breast cancer.

Answer by inverse_mushroom_cloud It all depends on the particular cancer and the individual. Some women are treated and live for 50 more years. Some die within a year. There’s no way to guess about your mom’s friend based on the little you have said.
“My wife had developed breast cancer last year and was on chemo. She lost her hair and everything. She got tired of it. The last test she took showed the cancer was beginning to spread. They said she needed to have her breast removed. She got scared. A friend of mine suggested I try your book. So I went online and bought a copy. I gave it to my wife and she took to heart everything in it. Within three weeks her hair began growing back. She went to have another test done and found her cancer gone. I owe you one.”
