Are you more likely to get breast cancer if you don’t have sex?

Raging Reginald asked:
A friend of ours has lumps in both her breasts (no word on if it’s cancer or not she is seeing a specialist soon), my GF seems to think it’s because this friend of ours is a virgin at 24 years old. Is this just a myth or is there any truth to this?

I don’t think that cancer discriminates on the basis of whether you have had sex or not. It strikes the young, old, black, white, latino, married, unmarried, gay, straight, etc. I don’t think cancer cells know the difference in your sexual status.
best wishes..
Its a myth. I was a virgin until I was 31 years old and don’t have breast cancer. Being a virgin is not a risk factor for anything. Look how old Mother Theresa lived to being celibate.
