ok, i was reading in Seventeen and it just made me curious. if you have breast cancer a sign could be nipple inversion. what if the nipple inversion showed like when u were seven and now youre 12, could it still be breast cancer. and lumps, could they just be like itches or something? and who should you contact to check about it? also, its like when some people do have breast cancer and are in the hospital to check they shave their hair off. is that a MUST? and do breast apperances MUST change when you get breast cancer fixed?

Nipple inversion “might” be a symptom, but not always. Many young women have inverted nipples and never develop cancer. Lumps are also common in a developing breast, and itching is normal as the breasts grow during puberty and also when a woman is pregnant.
Hair is not shaved off to check for breast cancer. A mammogram, is usually the first diagnostic test used to check the breasts for signs of cancer. Sometimes ultrasound and or MRIs are used as diagnostic tools.
Hair can be lost due to chemotherapy used in the treatment of someone with breast cancer.
Breast appearance does change if you have surgery to remove a tumor/lump. If a woman chooses to have only the lump removed and not a complete mastectomy, she will have a misshaped breast as there is no reconstructive procedures yet to remedy this situation.
I am a breast cancer survivor who opted for a lumpectomy (also called partial mastectomy)
It is very unlikely you have cancer. Check with your doctor if you ever have any concerns with anything in your body that does not seem right.
Loss of hair is not caused by cancer, it is caused by the drugs that are used to fight cancer. These drugs are poison and they attack cells in the body, and the hair follicles are very sensitive to these drugs.
Some ways your body changes in fighting breast cancer is that if you are in later stages of cancer you could end up losing one or two of your breasts. You can get scared by radiation treatments, if cancer had gone into the lymph nodes, then some of them are taken out and your body aches.
Breast cancer takes it’s toll on those that are fighting for their lives against it, but living is better than the alternative.
I don’t know it all, I hope my wife does not experience some of the horror stories I have read from Breast cancer survivors. I am hoping for the best.
