is there an alternative to mammogram? if so, how does the accuracy compare?

Nothing compares to mammography. Studies are being done with MRI, but that is for radiation purposes, not necessarily comfort.
See, as time goes on, the cancer rate for women with implants will increase because of the additional radiation required for mammography in augmented breasts. That is a sad fact the plastic surgeon won’t tell you before the surgery.
And breast MRI is no less uncomfortable than mammography. If you have ever had an MRI, you know what I mean. Think lying face down and rolled into a giant paper towel roll tube.
The augmented breast mammogram is 8 pictures and really no big deal. I do 2-3 implant mammos/day.
