No, your friend does not know the facts~ We are suppose to wear a bra to bed for support~
No. We don’t have to wear one to bed. Its basically up to if you want to or not, either way is not effective, just some people find it uncomfortable.
It is in theory that due to the constrictive nature of some bra’s, it is possible to develop breasts cysts or breast cancer… people are still arguing the theory though. Your friend may be right to give you the advice, or she may be wrong.. it remains unproved at the moment I believe. There are special bras designed for sleeping if you choose to wear one to bed.
NO!! There is no real reason to belive wearing a bra to bed couse breat cancer! Yes, they are studing it but so far no results proving it. I don’t see how they even think that! Its like saying “If you sleep on your stomach you will get breast cancer” I don’t wear one to bed but its up to you. I bet she was just confused because of the study
No it doesn’t.
Breast cancer, like all other cancers, happens when normal cells change so that they grow in an uncontrolled way. This uncontrolled growth causes a tumour to form. Underwear has no effect on this process and can’t cause a tumour to form.
There are a number of urban myths concerning breast cancer and bras, many of them started as hoax emails – you can’t get breast cancer by wearing a badly-fitting bra either, or an underwired bra or a padded bra or any kind of bra at all.
It’s uncomfortable and not good for circulation, but not likely to cause cancer. There was a book written by a couple that claims wearing bras (even during the day) can cause cancer, but it turned out their theories had no basis. I remember the woman author said that once she found a lump in her breast, but some days after she took off the bra, the lump disappeared. Well how could she conclude that the bra was the cause? Many women develop cysts in the breasts in the middle of their menstrual cycle, the cysts then “disappear”. How could that author say hers was not this functional cyst?
