abc123 asked:

My kitty had a radical bilateral mastectomy about a year ago and 4 doses of chemo. she’s as happy, hungry, and playful as ever! And then suddenly, I noticed a lump (maybe the size and shape of a small flat grape) on her left shoulder maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago. Since then, I’m pretty sure it’s decreased in size to about a lima bean, but has stayed the same for 2 weeks or so now. My husband has confirmed this with me. When you would pet her before, you could really feel the lump. And now sometimes you have to feel around for a good minute to find it.

Do you think this is a tumor or could it be a cyst or something?

We’ve spent so much money on her medical bills that we’re almost tapped out (of course we have enough for the basics, but no money for emergencies or extraneous stuff. Although, we never did have a lot in our savings, so that’s not really a factor) . I want to bring her in to get it removed, but since it’s decreased in size I wonder if it’s not something else? So while I love her, money is a factor so I’m asking you fellow cat lovers for some advice.

Conflicted,
abc123

Many thanks for your help.
