This is a serious idea..you create a ebay auction..whomever is bravest and they begin the auction at .01 for every $100 bid 3 inches of hair is eliminated until you have a bald head for the cause and all money will go the intended charity pot
Some ideas to raise money might include:
1. Having a bake sale; make homemade, tasty treats!
2. Selling hand-made products (for example: like jewelry, other accessories, and pottery)
3. Car Wash/Garage Sale
It’s best to use these ideas in a group.
why reinvent the wheel? go with what’s out there. ACS and Komen are two of the biggest.
It really is a good idea to get familiar with non-profit world as a volunteer first. The more money you raise the more financially responsible you must be.
I am with WV Susan G Komen for the Cure and we really are making a difference in lives by first supporting programs in the state to help women now- plus providing funding to the Nation Susan G Komen foundation to energize research so there will one day be a cure. Rest assured not one of us at the WV affiliate is making a dime off donations- we are 100% volunteer. We are every walk of life out here making a difference. So first get your feet wet by helping out. Then if you really are so motivated, you will be more prepared to start a program of your own.
First, I want to give you and your friend my sympathy about the passing of her aunt. I know what she is going through, my mother passed away from that. I am very proud of you guy trying too raise money. I think you should create a web cite and let people know what you are doing. Also have a fundraiser as well. The best of luck to the both of you.
