I wouldn’t immediately jump to that conclusion. It is possible, but hormones can make them ache, especialy during your period, or if you were somehow pregnant. But see a doc if you want to be sure. It can never hurt, right?

Honey, sometimes when girls get their periods, their breasts can become a bit sore. I don’t know how long or when you started menstruating, but this could simply be a normal thing. And there are things called cysts that could also develop and not be cancer. A breast can have an uneven surface naturally, so you have to know what it feels like normally to tell if there’s a difference. Cancer doesn’t have symptoms that are noticeable, that’s what makes it so hard. Pain and soreness usually are because a period is coming on, that’s one of the symptoms of menstruation.
Have a talk with your mother, and tell her what’s going on. Maybe it’s time for you to have a gynecological exam and have a doctor check and make sure things are going along well. Try not to worry.
Girl! breast cancer can happen to young girls but chances are very low and its very rare.Breast lumps doesn’t right away mean u have breast cancer.Breast bumps can be caused by non cancerous cyst or a breast fibroid, which develop because of hormonal changes like your period. If u are small chested its easier to feel the tissue and breast irregularities which are normal at your age because of frequent hormonal changes. Most breast cancer masses are painless and most of the time has no symptoms. The pain u are experiencing is way more likely caused by hormonal changes and u may be getting closer to getting your period. If u are really concerned head to your doctor.
No, you do not have breast cancer.
Breast cancer is a disease of MATURE breast tissue with 80% of those diagnosed being over 50.
The risk in late teens (16 – 20) is about 1 in 1 million, half the risk of being struck by lightning!
The risk for early teens (under 16) is ZERO.
Historically, worldwide, there have been a handful of cases where someone your age has breast cancer and they have been WORLD WIDE NEWS as it is so incredibly rare.
At your age, breasts are lumpy, bumpy, uneven, changeable, tender, inverted nipples, hormonal etc and this is all NORMAL at your age.
It only becomes a sign that something MIGHT be wrong when you are older and they stop being all these things.
There are some RARE childhood cancers that can occur in the chest region and while they are more likely than breast cancer they are still VERY rare.
Breast cancer is rarely tender or painful in the early stages and what you are describing sounds like typical, normal, breast development, particularly in the week before your period is due.
Breast cancer begins with abnormal cells developing in breast tissue. It can be confined to the breast or may spread beyond your breast or into other parts of your body. The most common type of breast cancer begins in the ducts designed to carry milk to the nipple. But cancer also may occur in the small sacs that produce milk, called lobules, or in other breast tissue. Breast cancer varies widely and the treatment options are selected to match your individual needs.
Tarkarri is right. At your age, your hormones are going wild and preparing you for adulthood. The breast will feel lumpy into your twenties. This is why doctors cringe when teens do self exams. Remember, not all lumps mean cancer. There are fibroid, fatty tumors, cysts, none of which are cancer. Fibroids are painful. Lord knows I had enough of them and you can have these at your age. They are just lumps of tissue that clump together and feel like a tumor. Breast cancer at your age is 0-none. True, some people get breast cancer at an early age but it’s rare. My step granddaughter was 26 when she had breast cancer. Nothing is impossible, but this is improbable. So stop worrying, Relax and hang out with your friends. Talk to your mom I guarantee she’s had the same thing. All women do during puberty. Breast cancer usually strikes women who are post menopausal and later. So you have a long wait. OK. Hope this makes you feel better.
It is extremely rare for girls your age to get breast cancer. The most common age for this type of cancer is after 50 so the odds are really remote. It is more likely that you are just feeling the soreness from normal breast tenderness during or just before your period.Hormones do this & often you are just feeling benign breast cysts or fibrocysts.. If you think they are lumps and they don’t go away you can visit your doctor & have him go over the way to do breast exams & he or she can check the lump for you. Don’t worry but have it checked if you would feel better. Good luck.
Please forget about breast cancer at age 14 – or any age under 20.
We do not see breast cancers in teen age girls.
The chances of lightning striking you is far higher.
