Destiny asked:
I have a black mole in my nipple area, does this mean I have breast cancer or a chance of getting one? Is this normal?
I don’t think it is skin cancer because the mole doesn’t change and just looks like a normal mole.

no. if anything it could be skin cancer!
you should have it looked at but breast cancer is usally on the inside. but it could be skin cancer if the mole has jaged edges. anything you think is weird should be looked at
Best way to put your doubts to rest is to go and get it looked at by a doctor
Criteria to assess a mole for cancer:
A: Appearance: Does it look weird?
B: Border: Is its border smooth or irregular (zig-zag)
C: Color: Uniform color or more than 1 colors. if red=blood = cancer (or bleeding)
D. Diameter: If greater than 1 cm than most likely cancer
E. Elevation: Fell it with your finger pad: if surface is smooth with no elevation (like feeling a cauliflower) then no cancer
Apply that rule and remember the ABCDE of a mole!!
No you probably just have a mole, and if you were to get any type of cancer because of it, it would probably most likely be skin cancer, because moles have to do with the melanin in the skin.
Yes it’s normal, I’m sure plenty of women have moles by their breasts, considering you can’t really help where you get one.
As long as the mole doesn’t look abnormal, or change in size, shape or color, you should be okay. But if it bothers you a lot, you could always go see a dermatologist and see what your options are for a biopsy (to make sure it’s nothing bad) or for a removal method if you really feel uncomfortable with it.
