No, they are not sign of breast cancer. You would have to feel cyst inside of your breast. It never shows on the skin.
You didn’t say how long you have it and it would be probably some skin disturbance, perhaps after hot and sweaty day – considering that it would be in the area where one sweats and clothing is rubbing it. The best way is to air it as much as possible (during night) to make sure skin is dry. If it doesn’t dissapear, try applying any desinfectant i.e. strong tea, iodine or antiseptic cream you have probably at home. If it is infected it will heal it,
Note if your purple spots are flat or raised, if they are raised and look like flat purple mole, have doctor to check it. If it is just flat angry skin don’t worry. Perhaps some insect bit you, but it wouldn’t be anything serious.

Different forms of breast cancer can have different symptoms.
What you have described doesn’t sound like breast cancer to me, but I am not a Dr, and don’t know all of the symptoms for all types of cancer.
I do know that early detection and treatment are the best way to defeat any form of cancer, so if in doubt, see your Dr.
Do NOT listen to the first responder!! Many breast cancers cannot be felt, even if they are known to be there through imaging. That’s why yearly mammograms are so important. There is one type of cancer that’s called Inflammatory Breast Cancer that is often misdiagnosed as either bug bites or an infection because the breast becomes swollen, red, itchy, and tends to feel warm.
That being said, IBC is not generally referred to as “purple”, but more pink and irritated, so odds are against it being so. On top of that, breast cancer tends to stay on one side and EVENTUALLY spread to either the other breast or other places, rather than starting on opposite sides right off the bat. But, it does need to be checked out by your doctor. If you have to wait longer than a few days to get in, write down the dates and details of exactly what’s happened. Take measurements regularly to track if there’s any growth. This will be very important if there is a problem. If it turns out to be nothing, just toss the paper with a smile on your face. Good luck!
