most small nodules in the under arm are lymph nodes which enlarge from filtering any local infections. If you are over 35 I suggest you get a mammogram and if it’s normal repeat it every other year until age 40 then yearly. If you have a number of close relatives who got breast cancer at an early age then beginning the annual mammograms at a younger age is appropriate. Many early breast cancers have no symptoms thus the reason for mammograms which can pick up very early breast lesions.

Don’t flip out.
I’ve got a pea sized stone near my nipple been there 15 years now and it’s ok…
My lymph nodes can swell when I work out for cripes sakes..
but by all means go visit your doctor ASAP and put your mind to rest…don’t rely on encouraging thoughts to put it off..
Just take a deep breath and say ” I could just be over protecticve of myself, but I have to know the truth!”
Best wishes!
90% of lumps are benign (non cancerous) so I wouldnt panik, although it is always a good idea to get checked out. Canceroud lumps dont usually have a defined shape, are painless and not moveable. Swollen lymph nodes can also be a sign of an infection in your breasts, arm or hand. Best of luck
Early breast cancer may have no symptoms at all.
The possible signs and symptoms of breast cancer are:
change in size – one breast may have become noticeably larger or lower
nipple change – if it becomes inverted (pulled in) or changes its position or shape
rash – on or around the nipple
discharge – from one or both nipples
puckering or dimpling – around nipple
swelling – in your armpit or around your collarbone (from lymph nodes)
lump or thickening – that feels different from the rest of the breast tissue – but remember that most breast lumps are not cancerous
constant pain – in one part of your breast or in your armpit.
Although most breast lumps are not cancerous, ALL must be investigated. Although some cancerous breast lumps are painful (mine was) most are not. Please get yourself to your doctor as soon as you can.
