A question from Kathryn: What percent of women survive having breast cancer twice?
My cousin has breast cancer, again, and she isn’t doing well. I just wanted to know if anyone knew the percent of women who survive breast cancer twice. I lost my grandmother two years agot to breast cancer, she also had it twice. Thank you.

I would have to believe that it is a rare or nonexistent occasion that a women gets breast cancer twice. It is far more likely that the cancer just went into remission temporarily. I do not have much of a medical background, but I would guess that the survival rate of women with a second bout of breast cancer is not much lower than of those only having it once. She is probably just as likely to beat it as she was the first time around.
