Unlike more common breast cancer types, Inflammatory Breast Cancer appears as a rash or infection instead of a lump in the breast. MD Anderson is home to a clinic for women with inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), believed to be the first such clinic in the world. The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Clinic accepts patients who are newly diagnosed or previously treated, and offers the most innovative treatments currently available. MD Anderson Cancer Center is currently conducting clinical trials and research in hopes of finding new treatment options for this rapid growing, and difficult to treat disease. A question asked by xxprincessxx: Are these symptoms of Inflammatory Breast Cancer?
I found a boil under my breast a few days ago. It came to a head today but about 2 days ago I noticed that the skin under my breast was thick. I know that this is one of the symptoms of IBC but a nurse told my mom it was soft tissue damage but that just seems odd for boil to do something like that.

By the way breast cancer runs in my family.

Answer by John S
Monitor the healing of the affected area and if it has not returned to it’s normal feel in 3 weeks(from when the boil finally breaks or starts to heal) make and appointment with a Dr. and share your concerns

Breast Cancer Symptoms?

Question by jenniferj47: Breast Cancer Symptoms?
What are the most common breast cancer symptoms in women?

Most comprehensive answer:

Answer by EvilestWendy
Finding a lump in the breast. Generally breast cancer does not have any outward symptoms. You may have a swollen lymph node in your armpit.
If you are worried about it, go to the doctor and have them check for you. Sometimes they can do a better breast exam than you can do at home. If they think they notice anything, they will schedule some kind of mammogram.

Breast Cancer symptoms?

Question by Sarah: Breast Cancer symptoms?
If there are any symptoms for breast cancer what are they? or is it?

The best answer:

Answer by Tarkarri
From your other questions, you are only in your early teens.
As such, there are no real symptoms of breast cancer, because the risk is so small that it isn’t worth mentioning.
Even in your late teens your risk is less than the risk of being struck by lightning.
Breast cancer is a disease of mature breast tissue, not developing breast tissue.
80% of those diagnosed are over 50, it is uncommon under 40 and rare under 30.

Once breasts are fully developed (usually around 20) then changes from the norm such as lumps may indicate breast cancer, but 80% of breast lumps investigated by dr’s are not cancerous.

Changes in Texture and Color
Another symptom that young women who have breast cancer may experience is the change in the texture as well as the color of the breasts. They may observe that the color of their breasts have transformed into red or may be pink in color. The change in color may occur either on the entire breast or only on certain area of the skin. Scarring may occur on the breast giving the skin an orange color. Other than changes in the texture and color of the breasts, another sign of breast cancer in young women is the indentations on the breast or in the area above the breasts.http://www.buzzle.com/

The top answer:

Your lymph nodes (under your arms) can become enlarged and tender.
Back pain can be associated with advanced breast cancer — it usually indicates an advanced cancer that has metastasized.

Don’t listen to the guy who wants photos of your breasts.
